BriefCase-Triage

Aidoc Medical, Ltd.

BriefCase-Triage is a radiological computer aided triage and notification software indicated for use in the analysis of abdominal CT images in adults or transitional adolescents aged 18 and older. The device is intended to assist hospital networks and appropriately trained medical specialists in workflow triage by flagging and communication of suspected positive findings of Intra-abdominal free gas (IFG) pathologies. BriefCase-Triage uses an artificial intelligence algorithm to analyze images and highlight cases with the detected findings in parallel to the ongoing standard of care image interpretation. The user is presented with notifications for cases with suspected findings. Notifications include compressed preview images that are meant for informational purposes only and not intended for diagnostic use beyond notification. The device does not alter the original medical image and is not intended to be used as a diagnostic device. The results of BriefCase-Triage are intended to be used in conjunction with other patient information and based on their professional judgment, to assist with triage/prioritization of medical images. Notified clinicians are responsible for viewing full images per the standard of care.

Evidence status: each field shows source quality, applicability, and review date. Research pending, information not established in reviewed sources, and vendor documentation pending are distinct outcomes.

Output and human action
The AI model outputs a prioritization alert (pop-up notification) and a compressed, low-quality, grayscale, unannotated preview image to the user when a suspected positive finding of intra-abdominal free gas (IFG) is detected. The output is for triage/prioritization purposes only and is not intended for diagnostic use. No markings are placed on the findings in the preview image.

Implementation

Questions for IT, informatics, and operations

Use these fields to structure a vendor demo, security review, and implementation estimate.

Integration
Standards-based DICOM/PACS integration was identified in the FDA submission materials; compatibility with a specific PACS, RIS, EHR, or orchestrator requires confirmation.
Public source Exact FDA submission Checked 2026-08-13

Normalized from the prior exact-submission review. Confirm interface versions and local compatibility during technical evaluation.

Deployment and data flow
On-cloud
Public source Exact FDA submission Checked 2026-08-13

Deployment category preserved from the prior exact-submission review; hosting region, data flow, and current commercial configuration still require vendor confirmation.

Security and privacy
Vendor documentation pending
Vendor confirmation Exact FDA submission Checked 2026-08-13

FDA authorization does not establish the current commercial security posture. Request data-flow diagrams, hosting and retention details, access controls, audit logging, attestations, and incident-response documentation.

Training and support
Vendor documentation pending
Vendor confirmation Exact FDA submission Checked 2026-08-13

Training, onboarding, competency, and support commitments are commercial implementation details that require current vendor documentation.

Monitoring and change control
Vendor documentation pending
